Oh Brother... Another Veteran Owned Coffee Company
Yup. Another one. But we are different... well... A little...
Yes we are veteran owned and operated. And we are proud of that. But that doesn't make up our whole identity.
Truth be told, I started Wild Ridge Coffee out of my house. Out of my garage. Out of my kitchen. This is entirely self funded. We have no angel investors. We aren't a public company. This was entirely created by me. Through trials, tribulations, challenges, doubt. Through it all. We persevere. We are, and will always be, molded by adversity. We are veteran owned. Family owned. We are athletes. Animal lovers. Coaches. We are adventurers. We work hard. We have fun. We enjoy life. If these values represent you, then we are for you.
The Real Story Behind Your Morning Cup
When I got out of the military in 2022, I had no plan. No vision. No real-world skills that translated to civilian life—at least that's what it felt like.
I was facing that classic veteran transition moment. Take the safe corporate gig or risk it all on something I actually cared about.
I chose the risk.
Starting a coffee company with zero business experience probably wasn't the smartest move. Looking back, it was actually one of the dumbest things I could've done. But I did it anyway.
Why coffee? Because it's been the one constant through every phase of my life. Morning PT in the Navy? Coffee. Late-night training sessions? Coffee. The one thing I could count on while moving around the country? You guessed it.
Coffee isn't just a product for me—it's a ritual. A moment of calm before the chaos. And I wanted to create something that delivered that experience to others.
Not Just Another Veteran Coffee Brand
Let's address the elephant in the room. The veteran-owned coffee space is CROWDED. Seriously crowded.
Some brands lean so heavily on military branding that you'd think the beans were harvested with tactical gear. That's not us.
Yes, my military experience shaped me. It taught me discipline, attention to detail, and how to function on dangerously little sleep. All valuable skills for an entrepreneur.
But Wild Ridge isn't defined by my service. It's defined by what came after.
It's defined by the CrossFit workouts that cleared my head when business got tough. By the Jiu Jitsu training that taught me to stay calm under pressure. By the countless hours spent perfecting roast profiles while everyone else was sleeping.
Built Through Failures, Not Funding
I've shipped orders to the wrong addresses. I've burned batches of expensive beans. I've designed packaging that looked terrible in real life.
Every mistake cost money I didn't have.
There was no cushion. No safety net. Just a guy in his garage with a roaster and a stubborn refusal to quit.
That's the real story behind every bag of Wild Ridge Coffee. Not some polished, venture-backed operation with a marketing team crafting a "veteran-founded" narrative.
Just authentic effort. Pure trial and error. And eventually, coffee that people actually wanted to drink.
What Makes Us Different
We just focus on making damn good coffee.
Coffee that fuels your morning workout. Coffee that powers your creative projects. Coffee that tastes like it was made by someone who genuinely cares—because it was.
Our process is meticulous. Our standards are uncompromising. Our coffee is exceptional.
That's the difference.
For Those Who Get It
Wild Ridge isn't for everyone. And that's fine.
It's for people who understand that great things come from struggle. For the 5AM workout crowd. For the weekend warriors balancing family, fitness, and full-time jobs.
It's for people who appreciate quality but don't need the fancy packaging and marketing hype.
If you're looking for another veteran-themed novelty coffee to display on your shelf, there are plenty of options out there.
But if you want coffee created by someone who understands the grind—both literal and figurative—you're in the right place.
So take a chance on us. Try the coffee. Judge us on what's in the cup, not what's in our background.
That's all I've ever wanted anyway.
